A song to celebrate women
Whenever I am asked to get involved in a new project I get so excited and want to share it with you all straight away and in fact with this one I may need your help! I met Geoff Thompson of the Youth Charter based in Manchester at another event we were both working on. Geoff does some fantastic work through sport to create opportunites for young people across the world. Now, he is starting a project to inspire and celebrate the past, present and future generation of strong women in society. What better way to launch this than a theme song, and you guessed it, I have been comissioned to wirte it.
We are currently looking for additional backing for the project, but in the mean time I would love to hear from you about the women in you lives. Mothers, wives, girlfriends, sisters, aunties, cousins, grandmothers, teachers, carers, doctors, nurses, business women – everyone who believes in themselves, carries their womanhood throughout every job and role they are in, which we know as women is many. How many hats does the strong woman in your life where? Please email me with all your stories – info@shellyquarmby.com
